Regional Interagency Committee Meeting: Coordination Across Sectors


On March 4th, the Regional Interagency Committee Meeting takes place at the Governor’s Office, bringing together representatives from key ministries, religious leaders, and community institutions. Participants include delegates from the Ministry of Basic Education, Public Health, Women Empowerment, Communication, Divisional Officers and Mayor, Christian and Muslim community leaders, Media, EPI team among others
The EPI Coordinator presents a detailed review of 2025 performance, covering vaccination outcomes for all antigens, the health system overview, and partner contributions. She highlights the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges (SWOT) of 2025 and outlines strategies to overcome obstacles in 2026.
Discussions centered on how diverse sectors can contribute to improving immunization coverage, strengthen outreach in communities, and support health interventions in hard-to-reach areas.
The session highlights the importance of multi-sector collaboration in advancing the health agenda and achieving higher coverage across the Southwest Region. Participants commit to engaging their constituencies and organizations to support EPI activities in a coordinated, sustained manner.
